About the Program:

  • To achieve optimal results, we believe in working with systems to integrate and support new skills. By drawing on a child's most potent and influential relationships, their family, we see more sustained change. The RiseUp Parenting group works to support parents & caregivers in supporting their youth as they participate in the RiseUp program by providing families with common language, skills, and resources.

Learning on behalf of our children’s development is a great act of love. In addition, there exists the opportunity through our parenting to continue to learn, grow and evolve more fully as individuals, benefitting ourselves, our children, families, and communities within which we are members.

Topics include:

  • Parent self-awareness & responding styles

    Behaviour has meaning

Attachment Principles - see me, hear me, show me I matter

Conflict - what is it really and our role as the caregiver

    Validation, ruptures, and repairs

Boundaries - setting boundaries for connection
